# Getting WETH and Bridging to Polygon

We summarized the process of getting WETH on Polygon [here](/eulerbeats-docs/futura.md#polygon-how-to). In this tutorial we focus on getting Eth from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Polygon network. The process for buying a Mixpass:

1. Get ETH
2. Move ETH to Polygon

### Buy Eth

There are [many places](https://ethereum.org/en/get-eth/) to buy Ether. Either directly from a centralized exchange or from a wallet such as MetaMask. We assume you already have Eth in your wallet.

Once you've purchased your ETH, you then need to bridge it across to the Polygon network.

### Option A: Use the bridge in the MetaMask Portfolio app”

One of the options is the [MetaMask Portfolio Bridge](https://portfolio.metamask.io/bridge). Always do your own research. When ready get started by connecting your wallet.

Click on “Bridge” in the sidebar,

Then select the following inputs:

* From this network: “Ethereum”
* To this network: “Polygon”
* You send: “ETH”
* You receive: “WETH”

\
Enter the amount of ETH you would like to transfer to WETH and wait for a quote.

If you are happy with the quote, click “submit transaction”

Wait for the bridge transfer to take place. This could take several minutes so be patient!

### Option B: Move Eth to Polygon Network using Umbra Narni bridge

The [Umbria Narni Bridge](https://bridge.umbria.network/bridge/) is another bridge product we've had success with in the past. Always do your own research. When ready get started by connecting your wallet.

![A view after the wallet was connected and set to move 0.2 ETH to the Polygon Network](/files/y2Oz2tkC158InQ7YSePI)

You will have to send a bit more than 0.2 Ether to pay for the bridge fee. When you send 0.2 Ether from the Ethereum Mainnet you will get Wrapped Ether (WETH) needed to buy MixPasses.

**Next, click on "Send" to get to the confirmation screen**

On the confirmation screen review transaction request details.

**Next, click Send to invoke your wallet. In this case it's a MetaMask**

![Ready to action view.](/files/OzbknyiI2nw2wZKhphUp)

Verify the information presented by MetaMask in the window.

**Next, click Confirm to send the transaction**

![](/files/QQpAAmEnU4lIp7b2nvhz)

At this stage the transaction will go through a two step process. First you will get a confirmation that the transaction went through on the Ethereum Mainnet and then you will get a confirmation that the transaction went through the Polygon network.

**Next, watch the progress of sending the funds to the bridge**

![](/files/xnJM1mKoNY5MQDI8MJYY)

This message informs you that the assets were sent to the bridge.

**Next, watch the bridge sending funds to the Polygon Network**

![](/files/dZKwSoWj3ZrgUY7hWoBy)

The funds have been sent to your address on the Polygon Network.

Let's check that the funds, i.e., Wrapped Ether (WETH), are in your wallet.

*Note: if you have not configured your wallet to connect to the Polygon Network please do so before the next step. If you're using MetaMask, please follow easy instructions*

**Next, Switch your MetaMask from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Polygon Network**

[![](/files/yFm5HKfrSNHbOBN24KJM)](https://docs.polygon.technology/docs/develop/metamask/config-polygon-on-metamask/)*.*![](/files/Yg5jKv1OjEhMwisJqcdS)

Use the pull down menu showing the connection to the Ethereum Mainnet to switch to the Polygon Mainnet network you configured earlier.

Click on the **Assets** subtab in the MetaMask wallet to view the assets and verify that you have 0.2 Wrapped Ether (WETH) in your wallet.

You are now ready to buy a mint pass.

### Option C: Move Eth to Polygon Network using Hop.Exchange

Another [option](/eulerbeats-docs/futura.md#polygon-how-to) is the Hop Exchange. Always do your own research. When ready, get started by connecting your wallet. In our case, we use MetaMask to connect to the Ethereum Mainnet.

**Next, open the** [**Hop.Exchange app**](https://app.hop.exchange/send?token=ETH\&sourceNetwork=ethereum\&destNetwork=polygon)

![In this scenario we will send just over 0.4 Eth to get just under 0.4 Eth](/files/uvhrp58DpKq3fz0nQdDk)

The cost of 1 MinPass is 0.1 WETH on Polygon. In this example we're bringing over just under 0.4 ETH to Polygon, because this account already has some WETH.

**Next, confirm the transaction**

![](/files/3KDXzdaxLOXkWlxP5u0z)

Click **Send** to continue and activate MetaMask to process transaction.

**Next, Confirm the transaction**

![](/files/4S3HT6UzxXMAwtenkXe8)

Click Confirm to continue.

**Next, wait, and monitor the progress**

**Next, continue waiting until the transaction completes**

![](/files/cFUGXIBFfdCUylfkZ4EC)![](/files/cH8nnnKi0dDBBYpHSq7y)

The process is completed.

The funds have been moved to the Polygon Network. You're now ready to buy a Futura Mix.
